Quick answer: if leggings-level stretch is your top priority, that's still where our leggings win outright. But if you want denim with the most comfortable, least restrictive fit in our jeans lineup, look for a high-waist, loose or wide-leg cut — the waistband sits comfortably without digging in, and the looser leg means no fighting the fabric to sit down.
Jeans and leggings aren't the same category, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What we can do is point you toward the cuts in our own Jeans collection that come closest to that same easy, comfortable feel.

Why high-waist and wide-leg feel easier
A high-rise waistband sits at or above the natural waist, which means it isn't digging into your stomach the way a low or mid-rise cut can when you sit down. Pair that with a wide-leg or straight (rather than skinny) cut through the leg, and you get denim that moves more like a pant than a second skin — closer in spirit to how our wide-leg pants fit, just in denim instead of woven fabric.
Setting the right expectation
None of our jeans are built with the four-way stretch knit you'll find in our leggings — they're genuine cotton denim, which behaves differently by design. If all-day stretch is non-negotiable, stay in leggings or our wide-leg pants for those days. If you want the look of denim with the most comfortable fit available, the high-waist and wide-leg styles above are where to start.
Not sure on sizing? Most of our jeans are true to size in a regular fit — when in doubt between two sizes, size up for the wide-leg styles and stay true to size for the straight-leg ones.
